3 Eights Architecture has more than 20 years of experience in architecture and design. We have more than 10 years practicing commercial and residential architecture from San Diego, CA to Charleston, SC.
3 Eights Architecture is ready to share our talents with Charleston and the surrounding regions. At 3 Eights Architecture we believe our day can be viewed or looked at in 3 functions of time and that all 3 functions reflect the need for architecture and design.
Currently, we are excited to be accepting new clients. We are focusing on people or families that want to boost their property with additions of Accessory Dwelling Units, Accessory Buildings, home additions and light commercial upfits.
At 3 Eights Architecture, we work with you to help realize your vision for your property. Through the design process we will produce Contract Documents. The CD's will convey the design intent to potential contractors. The contractors use the CD's to price or bid the work and also as a reference from which to build the project. We, the Architects, will work with our clients from conception of the architecture until the final nail is driven in.
At 3 Eights Architecture we design our time in 3 zones of 8 hours.
We believe in order to design right, we need to live right.
We prefer to enjoying a healthy diet of:
8 hours of work per day,
8 hours of play per day,
8 hours of sleep per day.
We all know that 8 x 3 = 24, and there are 24 hours in a day.
We want to design for your 24-hour day.
We feel unnecessary stress brings for poor-quality living, so we try our best to live a healthy lifestyle and believe it shows in the quality of the designs and collaboration. We are all in the project for the best possible outcome for everyone involved and we base our practice with collaborative processes.

Maybe you only want to design a small picnic area with a retractable canopy on your property? Yes, we can help you with this scale project.
Maybe you have a vision for an Accessory Dwelling Unit or Accessory Structure and you need help with the visualizing of your design so you can show your contractor what you have been trying to describe. He can then build it, and you can finally start using that structure for your additional income as a rental unit?
It could be that you just want to do a bunch of "stuff" to your house like painting, putting up a new fence, and add on an addition?
3 Eights Architecture can put together that set of Contract Documents from which a potential contractor will price or bid from, and then use as a guide to build or repair your property.
